Cerina is being confronted by the emotional detriments of insomnia. The endless cycle of guilt, exhaustion and hopelessness; the dark things under her eyes represent no more than inefficiency as a human being-- and she's tired of that.
Along with the never ending cycle of sleeplessness, it begins to take a toll on Cerina's studies; unable to fight weariness, her final exams are on the line.
After visit from a school authority along with a cry for help; Cerina's mask finally cracks, sending her into a woeful meltdown.
